Beware of Property Thieves

Would you believe it is possible for somebody to steal your home? No, we didn't either, but it is. A man from Luton returned after working away to discover his house had been sold without his consent and all his furniture had disappeared. He arrived home following a call from concerned neighbours that someone was in his house, where he was met with the new owner of the property, also a victim of the scam. A criminal gang had stolen the true owner’s identity, making off with the profits.

No more speed bumps for GSP

On request from a neighbour the feasibility and costs of installing additional speed bumps was researched and then put to residents. Unfortunately not everybody replied or gave their opinion. In fact a little less than half responded in total.

However, of the 28 that did vote, these are the results:

  • 28 votes received
  • 25 or 89% not in favour of any new speed bumps
  • 3 or 11% in favour of new speed bumps

Therefore, at least for the next 12 months or until the majority of residents want them, there will be no additional speed bumps being installed at Great Stony Park.

That being said, whenever you think it's prudent, please remind visitors of the 10MPH speed limit within the estate.
